Babs was on Larry King Live last night, discussing her first book—My Passion for Design—about her hands-on remodeling of her Malibu estate. One contractor got mad over her micromanagement and perfectionism, which she chalked up to “annoying” sexism.
She points out that a man in her position would have been admired for his dedication to such a project, but that, as a woman, she was considered a pain in the ass. It’s something she’s dealt with before, as a female director, and she’s basically sick of it. Babs added that, in a way, she’s happy that Hillary Clinton wasn’t elected president, because this economic crisis may have been blamed on her gender.
