Color me crazy, y’all, but one of my coping tactics for when I get really stressed out is to imagine Friday Night Lights‘ star guidance counselor Tami Taylor talking me off the ledge. There’s something about her tough love and abundant use of the word “hon” that’s about as calming as a cup of camomile tea.
Truth is we could all probably benefit from a little Tami Taylor in our lives to help us deal no matter how mundane our problems are. She could serve us so well (obviously), but could we serve her? As comedian Karolyn Mckenzie shows in her sketch where she plays Taylor’s most annoying student ever, probably not.
