'Don't Ask Don't Tell' Is Officially Over

Latest

As of 12:01 tonight, homosexuals are allowed to serve openly in the U.S. military! Though Republicans recently tried one last time to stall the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” by claiming the new rules haven’t been adequately examined, Pentagon press secretary George Little said on Monday that 97% of the military has undergone training on the new law. He added, “No one should be left with the impression that we are unprepared. We are prepared for repeal.” In a few hours the Pentagon will start acting on applications it’s received from openly gay recruits, and official “Repeal Day” celebrations are scheduled around the country — but feel free to hold one wherever you are.
