Johnny Depp, who has said he is part Cherokee, is in talks to play Tonto in a Lone Ranger remake. “Tonto needs to be in charge,” says Johnny in the new Vanity Fair. “The Lone Ranger should be a fool, a lovable one, but a fool nonetheless.” [NY Daily News]
