High School Prank Involves Charming Parent-Child Makeout Session
LatestStudents at Rosemount High School in Minnesota learned this the hard way when video from a pep rally earlier this month went viral. Each of the winter team captains were blindfolded in front of the rest of the school and told to make out with a mystery classmate, who turned out to be their non-blindfolded parent. MSNBC reports that for some reason many people don’t find incest all that funny, and now the school’s principal is apologizing. “As principal I am responsible for everything that happens in the school so, ultimately, I am the person that needs to answer for this,” said John Wollersheim. “I know there are people who are upset about what they have seen and as principal I am responsible for what happens here. For all the people who are offended, they are genuinely offended, and I owe them an apology.”
But! Wollersheim would like everyone to know that the video appears more offensive because it was taken out of context. Sure, that makes sense. We all know that sometimes sneaky reporters quote people saying things like, “I’m 100% in favor of killing,” but cut off the words, “it on the dance floor.” He adds:
A lesson to be learned is that what you see on the Internet, sometimes you just see portions of what really happened and it can lead you to think a certain way …. This is supposed to be a fun event and it should leave everyone feeling pepped and if it is leaving people not feeling good or embarrassed or hurt that is absolutely the opposite of what we are trying to do.
Wollershiem says the activity went on for almost a half an hour, and apparently it wouldn’t seem so gross if we saw the 29 minutes of lead up to a mom passionately kissing her kid.
