Idris Elba Reportedly Will Join Cats the Musical the Movie

Let me tell you, when casting the movie adaptation of Cats the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical there simply can be no bad choices.

How do I know this? The cast already make no sense. Taylor Swift, Jennifer Hudson, James Corden, and Ian McKellen are all already going to be in this movie together. All excellent performers, all playing singing cats.

On Tuesday, The Hollywood Reporter relayed that Idris Elba will be the latest very-good-choice to join the movie project, enacting the important role of Mascavity. Variety reports that Elba is “in final negotiations” to sign up.

This movie is supposed to come out on December 20, 2019.
