Jon Snow's Manbun Stars in New Game of Thrones Final Season Teaser

EntertainmentTV

At (very) long last, HBO has announced the premiere date for the final season of Game of Thrones. According to a new teaser the network tweeted out on Sunday night, Winter is Coming on April 14. Coming with it: Jon Snow, Jon Snow’s manbun, the dead animal on Jon Snow’s neck, Sansa Stark, Arya Stark, and I think maybe some ghosts?

The one-and-a-half minute teaser doesn’t reveal a whole lot, though it’s certainly better than the six seconds of Sansa staring down Daenerys Targaryen that we got during the Golden Globes last week. It appears the Stark children reunite and pay a visit to some of their many dead family members in the Winterfell crypt. Meanwhile, Jon Snow might have to grapple with some harsh truths about his origin (and, SPOILER ALERT, that he’s been fucking his aunt, whoopsie!), so certainly that’ll be fun for all of us.

Note that Game of Thrones’s return will be brief, since Season 8 only consists of six episodes. This sucks for us, but it sounds like the cast is relieved—in a recent interview with GQ Australia, Snow portrayer Kit Harington said filming the final season “seemed to be designed to break us” and that “[e]veryone was broken at the end.” But who is literally broken, Kit? Is it Tyrion? Is it Arya? Is it the dragon? Is it Tommy Westphall’s snowglobe? I MUST KNOW.
