Ke$ha's Mom: My Daughter Is Bulimic and Her Producer Was a Bully

As if going to rehab for bulimia isn’t enough, Ke$ha’s mom Pebe Sebert told People that super producer Dr. Luke pushed her there.

“Dr. Luke had been telling her how she had to get in shape and lose weight and all this stuff. She was exercising and dieting and ultimately doing everything she could, but not getting thin fast enough,” says Sebert. “And that’s when she first became bulimic.”
“Dr. Luke told a friend of ours he thought she looked like a refrigerator on her latest video, and could she please try to control her weight,” Ke$ha’s mom adds. “After she went on a 14-day juice cleanse, he said, ‘Thank God you finally got rid of the weight! We’ve all been talking about it!’ So she felt like she couldn’t trust anyone.”

A “refrigerator”? I thought comments like that were reserved for Regina George. Now I won’t be able to listen to Dr. Luke-produced records like Kelly Clarkson’s “Since You’ve Been Gone,” Katy Perry’s “Hot n Cold” or Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball” without feeling guilty. Wait, I hate “Wrecking Ball,” so that takes care of at least one song anyway.

On the other hand, Dr. Luke says, sincerely through his publicist, that he didn’t verbally abuse Ke$ha about her weight.

“It is unfortunate that at a time Ke$ha is suffering immensely and trying to heal at a treatment center, her mother is taking this approach with the media. I give Ke$ha my utmost support and well wishes for a quick return to health.”

He said/she said. But if Dr. Luke did in fact say horrible things to Ke$ha — does he throw the fat-shaming shit at every female star he works with? Because he has worked with damn near all of them, from Britney Spears to Rihanna.
