Lil Xan Says Columbia Records Orchestrated His Relationship With Noah Cyrus
CelebritiesAfter a solid month of fake dating, SoundCloud rapper Lil Xan and up-and-coming singer Noah Cyrus, little sister to Miley, have called it quits. The teen dream of a couple broke up last night, allegedly after Cyrus shared a meme of Charlie Puth’s face on a porn star’s body and Xan (real name Diego Leanos) accused her of cheating. The whole thing is incredibly 2018, and it just got better: Lil Xan claims the entire relationship was orchestrated by Columbia Records, the major label to which both young talents are signed. I fucking love a fake romance!
According to SPIN, Xan denies their breakup was due to the meme in a now-deleted Instagram Story. He says, “If y’all think that meme is the reason I broke up with Noah, that is hilarious…” In a separate video, he reveals the whole damn thing was a lie:
“It was something set up by, uh, Columbia Records… Columbia, uh, set it up to boost, uh, her like… y’know… like, everybody shit poppin’. Shout out to Columbia Records, too, for setting up that fake relationship. I didn’t want to do it, to be completely honest. … It was just added work to my schedule, you know what I mean?”
Noah Cyrus has responded to the claims in her own Instagram Story, writing, “This relationship was not set up by Columbia Records. To say that is a joke. It started when I got a DM from Diego and he asked me to hang out.”
If this ain’t a joke, why am I LAUGHING?
