Madonna Is Being Madonna All Over Lady Gaga Again
LatestThe girls are fighting again… sort of. In a now expired-Instagram Story, Madonna shared a clip from one of her “vintage interviews” (USA Today’s words, not mine) in which she tells an interviewer, “If there are 100 people in a room and 99 say they liked it, I only remember the one person who didn’t.” This, of course, directly reflects something Lady Gaga has said approximately 900 times whilst promoting A Star Is Born: “There can be 100 people in a room and 99 don’t believe in you. And you just need one to believe in you.” Spoiler: the one is Bradley Cooper. Hilarious:
Then, as Madge is known to do, she shared a bunch of “NSFW posts” (once again, courtesy USA Today) on Instagram with captions like, “don’t (expletive) with me Monday” and “I heard it all before…talk is cheap. If you can’t improve the silence…say nothing. #sorrynotsorry.”Is it directed at Gaga? I’m gonna go out on a limb and say almost definitely. Is it enough to call a beef reignited? Heck no! Have you seen Madonna’s social media feed? It’s full of nonsense, most of which registers like she’s mad at someone. Society? Irrelevancy? Getting called out for her naval gaze-y Aretha Franklin “tribute” at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards?
The better question is: Will Gaga emerge from her Oscar-ready glow to respond to a maybe-might’ve been-probably is-dig at her silver screen victory? Nah. She’s busy.
