Meryl Streep's Shock & Awe At The SAG Awards
LatestWhen Ralph Fiennes announced Meryl Streep was the winner of the “Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role” last night, Streep’s stunned facial expressions were priceless. Even more awesome? Her speech:
Streep, who seemed genuinely surprised, exclaimed, “I didn’t even buy a dress!” She went on to claim that there is “no such thing as the best actress” and no such thing as the “greatest living actress.” She also said she was in awe of all of the women this year, and that “everybody wins” when women have great parts in movies. Later in the speech, she thanked her costars, Amy Adams and Viola Davis, and was just generally completely adorable. Can we make her an honorary Jezebel? Clip above.
