Apparently, people are not the only creatures desperate for their morning caffeine fix.
GrubStreet, which has really been on a roll lately with these videos, posted a news report from Portland, Oregon about a parrot named Kyara that freaking LOVES Starbucks espresso. Kyara actually drinks it herself from her own small cup, which is one of the cooler things I’ve seen this week (although as her owner helpfully informs us, that’s not a trained response — that’s just how certain birds naturally grasp things).
You can pretty clearly see Kyara tweaking the everloving fuck out, and I’m not sure whether I’m supposed to feel guilty for how hard I’m laughing at that. Ah, well, according to the video, her owner checked with the vet before giving it to her as a treat, and doesn’t do it more than a couple times a month. Given how incredibly adorable the two of them are together, I’m inclined to believe her.
