Timothée Chalamet to Donate His Salary From Woody Allen Film

Latest

Timothée Chalamet may be “new here,” but he’s already acting more honorably than the majority of his colleagues in Hollywood, announcing on Instagram that he’ll be donating his salary from his forthcoming Woody Allen movie to three different organizations.

“I don’t want to profit from my work on the film, and to that end, I am going to donate my entire salary to three charities: TIME’S UP, the LGBT Center in New York, and RAINN. I want to be worthy of standing shoulder to shoulder with the brave artists who are fighting for all people to be treated with the respect and dignity they deserve,” he wrote.

Rebecca Hall and Griffin Newman have also donated their salaries from the film, Rainy Day In New York. Interestingly, the movie’s other (presumably much wealthier) stars, including Selena Gomez, Elle Fanning, Jude Law, Diego Luna and Liev Schreiber, have yet to offer up their earnings.
