Bravo To Re-Edit Housewives In Light Of Recent Suicide

According to Variety, Bravo will be re-editing The Real Housewives, due to Russell Armstrong‘s recent suicide. They will not, however, cancel the entire season (reportedly, anyhow).

A source close to the show told THR Thursday that show producers from Evolution Entertainment met with cast members Tuesday in Los Angeles to discuss the fate of the series. Some close to the production are encouraging the network to scrap the season altogether, especially considering some of the Armstrong-related storylines.
“People are concerned about being associated with the show and his passing,” the source said.
But while re-editing of episodes is likely, the source says Bravo does not currently plan to cancel the season entirely. According to the source, the executives did say that the premiere date will be delayed beyond Sept 5. A Bravo spokesperson said that no decision on the premiere has been made.

Of course. Why would they cancel one season of an incredibly profitable reality show just because one of its stars committed suicide?

Lindsay Lohan is suing rapper Pitbull over his “mega-hit” single, “Give Me Everything”, which includes a “disparaging lyric” about her:

Hustlers move aside, so I’m tiptoein’, to keep flowin’

I got it locked up like Lindsay Lohan.
Lindsay is pissed, claiming in her lawsuit … “the lyrics, by virtue of its wide appeal, condemnation, excoriation, disparaging or defamatory statements by the defendants about the plaintiff are destined to do irreparable harm to the plaintiff.”
Lindsay, who claims in the lawsuit she is “a professional actor of good repute and standing in the Screen Actors Guild, is suing under the New York civil rights laws, which protects people from having their name exploited for commercial purposes.

Singer Gavin DeGraw is healing after he was beaten by a “mysterious group of unknown assailants…following a late-night argument in New York’s East Village.” DeGraw’s injuries reportedly include “a broken nose, concussion and facial lacerations,” but thankfully he says he’s “feeling much better.” [People]

To see how Amanda Burden is dressed and say, ‘Hmmm. Maybe I should try that.  They give advice to the young people: ‘If you are brunette, this color would be best.’ But I would love it if the magazine said, ‘When you are in your sixties and your neck is like this, consider wearing this.'” –The ever-lovely Isabella Rossellini.
