Brittany Murphy's Ghost Ruined Taryn Manning's DJ Set
LatestRecently, OITNB star Taryn Manning was having a completely average experience DJ-ing an H&M party in Toronto when, suddenly, something strange happened.
A video published by TMZ shows Manning rocking out to “Lose Yourself” by Eminem from 8 Mile, which featured Manning and Brittany Murphy, who died at age 32 in 2009 under mysterious circumstances. “Let’s give it up for Brittany Murphy, one of my best friends who’s not with us anymore,” Manning said into the mic. And then, out of nowhere…the sound system shut down.
“That was weird,” she said. “Hi Brittany.”
Though a restless spirit had clearly traveled all the way to Canada to ambush her creative outlet, Manning held her cool; instead of running screaming into the night, she stared at her computer, said “that was really weird,” and asked for a moment of silence, during which the crowd silently thanked Brittany Murphy’s ghost for saving them from having to dance to “Lose Yourself.”
This is not the first time this particular ghost has been sensed stepping out; on a January episode of Hollywood Medium, Tyler Henry reported feeling Murphy’s presence in actress Jaime Pressley’s house (“she’s making my lungs hurt quite, quite a bit,” he said).
