'Lego Movie 2' Filmmaker Wants More Badass Females in the Sequel
LatestAs we all know, The Lego Movie is hands down, one of the greatest movies ever made in the history of all time and that is not up for debate, so please don’t even try. But that doesn’t mean one of the people behind the $400 million blockbuster is satisfied, at least not when it comes to the movie’s depiction of women.
“I’m not sure our movie passes the Bechdel test entirely and I think that it’s important,” Chris McKay (who worked on The Lego Movie and was recently announced as the sequel’s director) told the Daily Mail.
