After years of dining out at six restaurants in Manhattan, and spending at least one album cycle riding an empty ferry around the island, Taylor Swift finally made the journey across the East River to spend a comedy-filled evening in Brooklyn.

Swift, along with Selena Gomez, Cara Delevingne, and Zoë Kravitz went to see Ramy Youssef’s sold-out show, Ramy Youssef:More Feelings, at the Brooklyn Academy of Music on Friday night. They also went to dinner at Lucali in Carroll Gardens, where they were joined by Anya Taylor-Joy. And Selena wore a snakeskin skirt and jacket which, if you’re a Swiftie (I am), who loves a delusional Easter egg (I do), that outfit was the most important detail of the night. (It doesn’t mean Taylor’s about to annouce Reputation (Taylor’s Version) but it also doesn’t not mean that.)

Youssef, who’s currently starring alongside Emma Stone in Poor Things, has been touring his award-winning standup show (which premiered on HBO in 2019) since November. All proceeds of the show are being donated to ANERA to help provide humanitarian relief to Gaza. We love to see celebs supporting relief efforts in Gaza. And we love to see celebs supporting live comedy.

Obviously, this wasn’t actually Swift’s first foray into Brooklyn but, as far as anyone knows, it is her first foray into Brooklyn since the events that may or may not have preceeded (but definitely did) her Red era in 2012. If you never memorized all the lyrics to “All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version),” Taylor sings “From when your Brooklyn broke my skin and bones,” about the aftermath of a breakup. Luckily, this trip to the outer borough looked like it was much less physically devastating.
