American Horror Story: Freak Show Finally Has an Official Air Date

Latest

Show creators announced the official air date of the fourth season of American Horror Story’s new chapter Freak Show.

We’ve had some false starts as far as teasers for the new season but it looks like this is the official OFFICIAL teaser/start date for the show. Jessica Lange, Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson, Michael Chiklis, Kathy Bates, Patti LaBelle, Wes Bentley and a jillion other people (some new, some familiar to fans of the show) are set to unleash some freaky shit in the new season, according to Entertainment Weekly:

The official new description: “Freak Show begins its tale in the quiet, sleepy hamlet of Jupiter, Florida. The year is 1952. A troupe of curiosities has just arrived to town, coinciding with the strange emergence of a dark entity that savagely threatens the lives of townsfolk and freaks alike. This is the story of the performers and their desperate journey of survival amidst the dying world of the American carny experience.”

According to Buzzfeed, show creator Ryan Murphy said there will also be a “clown killer” this season. FOR REAL, RYAN? A CLOWN? ON TOP OF ALL THAT? BRB going to burn my bed and all my bedding because I clearly won’t ever get another wink of sleep after watching this.

The new season arrives Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 10 p.m. Until then, I will be finding lots of reasons to convince myself I should just spend my evenings watching reruns of the Sister Wendy show.
