Andre Leon Talley Mocks Martha, Wears Couture Apron

What does one wear to make deviled eggs and brioche with Martha Stewart? If you’re Vogue editor Andre Leon Talley, a satin and black leather Ralph Rucci couture apron with a bedazzled NAACP shirt, naturally.

It’s funny to hear ALT gently mocking Martha’s insistence on only the very best ingredients, while he considers treating himself to designer duds and absolute must. Then again, he’s wearing a t-shirt a Brooklyn designer was selling out of the back of his car, and Martha’s deviled egg recipe calls for eggs from your own chicken coop, homemade mayonnaise, and “pink river salt,” whatever that is.
