A Belgian choreographer, Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, believes that Beyoncé‘s new video, “Countdown,” is “plagiarism.” Keersmaeker writes on her blog, “This is stealing.” Keersmaeker points out that there are two separate dances from which she believes Beyoncé and her team copied moves, and adds, “It’s a bit rude, I must say.” In the clip above, some of the key moments from Beyoncé’s clip are spliced together with Keersmaeker’s work. This is not the first time Beyoncé has been accused of ripping off a concept: The video for “Run The World” included images and scenarios very close to the work of photographer Pieter Hugo, and her performance at the Billboard awards was almost identical to a performance by Italian artist Lorella Cuccarini.
