Chicago Voter to President Obama: "Don't Touch My Girlfriend"
It’s important for a president to get out of D.C. and interact with normal, everyday people every now and then— even when those normal, everyday people happen to be Mike Jones, a Chicago early voter who heckled President Obama with “Mr. President, don’t touch my girlfriend” when Obama happened to be placed next to his lady friend at the polls.
“I’m sorry, please excuse him,” Jones’ (untouched) girlfriend Aia Cooper told the POTUS. “…I knew he was going to say something smart, but I didn’t know what he was going to say.”
Obama — joking with Cooper — wasn’t going to let Jones down easy for his comments.
“There’s an example of a brother just embarrassing me for no reason,” the President remarked, then teasing “I can’t believe Mike. He’s such a fool.”
The interaction ended with Obama giving Cooper a kiss on the cheek, saying “Now, [Jones] is really jealous.”
