Police are investigating an incident involving a series of cars that were set on fire earlier today, as well as its potential link to the nearly two dozen cars that were set on fire yesterday.
Officer Robert Collier says arson is suspected and that it’s possible this arsonist is responsible for both incidents, saying, “We believe there might be [a connection], but we don’t know for sure.”
Fires were first reported in almost two dozen locations in Hollywood during a four hour period just before dawn with almost every fire starting in a parked car and resulting in the igniting of nearby houses — including a former residency of Doors icon Jim Morrison that quickly resembled “a towering inferno,” according to one witness.
Coincidence? Maybe. BUT MAYBE NOT!
And as if that wasn’t enough mayhem for a 24 hour period of time, another car fire was reported Friday night in an parking garage.
At press time, no injuries were reported nor had any arrests been made and officials recently announced “at least $35,000 in rewards for information leading to the conviction of the person or persons responsible.”
I’ll leave it to you to brainstorm movie titles for this soon-to-be pitched by everyone motion picture.
