Jill Duggar Sent Out Literally One THOUSAND Wedding Invitations

There’s no way to put this that doesn’t sound absurd so here we go: Jill Duggar of 19 Kids and Counting apparently sent out one thousand wedding invitations. 1,000. That’s a one, followed by three zeroes. What the SHIT?

This comes from no less an authority than US Weekly. Out here in our IRL timeline, Jill is already wedded, bedded and with child. But 19 Kids and Counting is still working up to her wedding to Derick Dillard, and an upcoming episode will follow the pair as they tour potential wedding venues with Michelle. And in a new clip, Jill mentions all casual-like that they need a pretty big church, because she’s sending out a thousand fucking invitations.

This shocking piece of information was confirmed by People magazine in their coverage of the June 21 event. I don’t give a damn that you don’t wear anything more ostentatious than a denim skirt, that’s just extravagant.

A mere 120 people turned up for my wedding and we still had to race around the ballroom saying hi to everyone. More than 150 would’ve blown our budget all to hell. A thousand people isn’t a wedding, it’s a high school graduation. And not for a small private Christian school, either! Did they sell tickets? Did they invite the talent from every other TLC show? WHAT IS HAPPENING???? What did their stationary bill come to? Even if they went with VistaPrint, it must’ve been considerable. And surely not all those people were invited to the reception afterward. Or maybe they just stuck to serving light snacks? From TLC.com:

The volunteer friends and family members helped make more than 600 cupcakes, 3,000 chocolate-chip cookies and 3,000 root-beer floats for the “Sweet and Salty” wedding reception.

Look, I don’t want to sound demanding, but if I travel more than 20 minutes for your special day, either you provide more than a chocolate-chip cookie or I show up with a sack of Wendy’s and my own bottle of Jack Daniels (and I’m not sharing).

Guess if several of the families you’re friendly with come with more than ten kids, shit gets exponential real fast.
