Lindsay Admits To Cocaine Abuse; Was J.Lo Dropped From Her Label?
Latest- In a lengthy interview with The Sun, Lindsay Lohan discusses her drug abuse history, saying her father talking to the press made her hit “rock bottom” and, “I tried to mask my problems with alcohol, cocaine and mind-altering substances.”
- Lindsay describes the abuse that led to her three stints in rehab, saying that she checked herself in the first time after taking Ambien, falling asleep on her bathroom floor, and waking up with her bathtub overflowing around her. Though she defends her substance abuse, pointing out that at the time she would have been partying in college she was in the public eye, she says she’s clean now because, “I learnt from my mistakes and I’m now healthy and happier. I never want to be close to losing everything I worked for and aspired to have my whole life.” [The Sun]
- Michael Lohan tried to appear at Lindsay Lohan‘s DUI case on Friday because he thinks she still has a substance abuse problem. The judge refused to let him appear, but said he could hire his own lawyer, who could confer with the prosecutor handling Lindsay’s case. Michael wants to hire Robert Shapiro, who represented O.J. - Jennifer Lopez has left Sony Music Epic Record and abandoned her next album Love?, which was slated for an April release. While she claims the split was amicable, sources say Sony dropped her because her single “Louboutins” and American Music Awards performance bombed and executives, “aren’t sure who her audience is anymore. Where once she had little girls, she’s been supplanted by Beyonce, Gaga, and Rhianna.” [Deadline]
- Evander Holyfield and his wife Candi Holyfield were scheduled to appear on Dr. Phil. to discuss their marital problems, but after a pre-show meeting with Dr. Phil, Evander refused to appear on the show. “The truth is Evander did not like Dr. Phil and what he was proposing,” said a source. “He felt he was totally man-bashing him. Despite all of Dr. Phil’s assurances there was a big clash of personalities and Evander simply didn’t want to do it.” [Radar]
- Brooke Mueller is leaving rehab in Malibu because someone from the staff sent her patient admissions form to media outlets. According to TMZ, “The document is very specific about the circumstances surrounding Brooke’s admission. We declined to publish it.” [TMZ]
- One of Brooke Mueller‘s family members says, “They (the rehab facility) are open to a major lawsuit if the The Canyon did anything like that… If the facility was anyway involved in this it is completely inappropriate and wrong.” [Radar]

- A friend of Abbie Cornish‘s claims she was worried he was cheating, especially now that his ex, Reese Witherspoon is single. One of Ryan Philippe‘s friends insists they split because, “She was gone for seven months in production and they basically grew apart. They’d broken up a few times prior. - Ryan O’Neal says that he plans to focus on his son Redmond O’Neal‘s drug problem in a new documentary about Farrah Fawcett. Ryan says in a letter, “We plan to focus on three main areas of her legacy: her art (namely her films and her sculptures), her inspirational battle with cancer; and the light of her life, our son Redmond, who is now fighting to reclaim himself in honor of his mother.” [Radar]

- A $46,000 guitar was returned to Johnny Marr of The Smiths 10 years after it was stolen. Police received a tip recently about a man who stole the guitar after a show in 2000. The man pled guilty to theft and said he was “disgusted” with himself. [UPI]

- The other night in a Melbourne, Australia hotel, a stranger punched Matchbox 20 guitar player Frankie Romano in the face for no reason. Rob Thomas says, “He seemed weird, so we purposely weren’t engaging with him. Not one word said. He just stared into space for an hour and then punched him. F—’ funny. Our guys grabbed him and held him for the cops. Gotta be careful out there. We all went back to our beers and laughed it off soon enough. Frankie’s got a little shiner. He’s a tough one.
