The babies of Brooklyn continue to push the boundaries of precocity: Check this short video from Vice (via Hypervocal), which offers a peek at the borough’s baby DJ school, which is very real. Hold your hipster jokes, though! “It’s totally not hip,” insists Natalie Elizabeth Weiss, the DJ and composer who runs the classes.
It’s pretty priceless seeing a woman in bangs and a denim jacket sing-chanting things like, “I always, always pre-queue, before I play in front of you,” to a room full of toddlers. And you’ve got to wonder whether headphones are really appropriate for tender ears. But let’s face it—given many kids’ terrifying facility with technology, these classes probably just put the tots one step closer to rendering us olds redundant.
