YouTube Bans, Unbans Video of Little Girls Cussing for Feminism
It’s the old YouTube two-step! The site temporarily removed—then quickly reinstated—FCKH8’s controversial viral video featuring little girls in princess costumes throwing around f-bombs and feminist stats.
A spokesperson told the Independent: “Our policy team had a look at the video and it looks like there was an error and it shouldn’t have been removed. As a result they have now reinstated it,” adding that, “With the massive volume of videos on our site, sometimes we make mistakes.” Presumably, somebody somewhere flagged the video for all the fucks. But as many commenters and this writer at AdWeek pointed out, the cussing isn’t as uncomfortable as watching a bunch of kids counting off whether they’ll be among the one in five women raped in their lifetimes—especially for a for-profit company (no matter how much they contribute to charity for each “Girls Just Want to Have FUN-damental Rights” shirt sold).
