Waist Gang Society, the Kardashians’ favorite waist training company, has reportedly reached an agreement to dismiss the $5 million class action lawsuit brought against them by a customer who alleged that their product failed to produce results as advertised.
Sara Hawes filed a lawsuit in March, accusing the company of purposefully lying about the waist trainer’s ability to help with weight loss. The claim stated: “Defendant claims that the Products actually burn fat and control the user’s weight. This is completely false and misleading. The Products have absolutely no effect on fat loss of the user.”
Daily Mail Online reports that Waist Gang Society reached a settlement on Monday to dismiss the lawsuit, with no further details: it’s unclear whether the settlement involves payment. The Kardashians were never named in the suit, but Khloe and Kim have promoted the waist trainer frequently on Instagram in the past year whenever they’re not hawking Fit Tea. As Bossip concludes, “Sorcery Reigns Supreme.”
