Beyoncé and Nicki Minaj Love Each Other, Themselves in New Song

Previously, Nicki Minaj and a rapper named Beyoncé teamed up for the remix to “Flawless,” where Beyoncé famously shrugged off that pesky elevator fight between her sister and husband in just one line. The two rappers have reunited for “Feeling Myself,” a boastful track over a thumping beat that appears on Minaj’s latest album, The Pinkprint.

Bey, in a sexy drawl, brags about how she “changed the game with that dig-i-tal drop” (she means her surprise album. Remember?), while a four-flowed Minaj accurately proclaims herself a rap legend and invokes vibrator imagery (“I’m feeling myself/ Jack rabbit”). Nicki raps: “Kitty on fleek. Pretty on fleek.” And who can debate that. Whenever Beyoncé raps, I think of candy paint dripping; she’s so Houston. This is a solid, medially turnt exchange that I need to hear in the context of the Pinkprint album, which releases on Dec. 15.
