On Wednesday, after a pipe bomb was sent to CNN’s offices in New York City, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders found it appropriate to then blame CNN.
On Thursday morning, during an appearance on Fox & Friends, she doubled down on this interesting choice. When asked about yet another unhinged tweet by Donald Trump in which he railed against the “purposely false” “Mainstream Media that I refer to as Fake News,” Sanders had this to say: “Certainly, the media has a role to play in this process.”
She continued: “And certainly, the president is calling on everyone to come together and if you have a problem with one another, let’s voice that, but let’s do so peacefully and let’s do that at the ballot box.”
