One of the many women to formally accuse Bill Cosby of rape has withdrawn her lawsuit against him, saying that the “landscape has changed” since she initially filed the suit in November.

A lawyer for Kristina Ruehli, 72, said Friday that her client is no longer interested in pursuing charges against Cosby, who she said drugged and raped her in 1965 when she was 22. According to the AP:

“Ms. Ruehli is 72 and her husband just celebrated his 79th birthday,” Megan Deluhery, Ruehli’s lawyer, said. “She will watch the pending cases proceed in solidarity with other survivors, those known and unknown, while returning her focus, if she can, on her daily life and trying to put behind her all the pain this ordeal has caused her.”

Ruehli made her decision shortly after a Massachusetts federal judge blocked Cosby from having Ruehli’s case dismissed.

Cosby still faces criminal prosecution in Pennsylvania, and dozens of other accusers are proceeding with their own civil suits elsewhere across the country.
