A family in Orlando had to call 911 when their cat attacked them and trapped them in a bedroom.
It’s happening again. Another cat has gone on a rampage against its unsuspecting family. This time, it’s a Florida cat named Kush who went OFF and attacked its owners. The cat trapped two people in a bedroom, who were forced to call police for help. From Yahoo:
“I can’t get out. She’s got us trapped in our bedroom,” Teresa Gregory, 50, told the emergency police dispatcher, according to the record of the call.
‘She’s just sitting outside my bedroom door right now. We don’t know what to do.”
Gregory told the dispatcher that Kush, a 4-year-old Russian Blue, began behaving badly earlier in the day so her husband James locked the cat in the bathroom for a while.
She also said she might have stepped on the cat’s tail which could have provoked her. Once they tried to let Kush out of the bathroom, she started to hiss and attack them. The couple called 911 to get help.
“I don’t know what’s wrong with her. I love this cat to death,” Gregory told the dispatcher.
When an officer arrived at her home in Deland, near Orlando, Gregory can be heard on the tape calling out, “We’re trapped,” and warning the officer, “She’s just looking at you. I don’t know what she’s going to do.”
Animal control is hanging on to the cat for now, mostly because Kush has to be quarantined for 10 days since the family never got him any vaccinations. (Although so far he is not showing any signs of rabies, thank goodness.) If you think not getting the cat vaccinated is unforgivable, keep in mind these are the same people who named their cat after a strain of marijuana.
It’s officially a trend. Earlier this year, a family was trapped by their 22-lb cat. A couple in England had to be rescued just last week. They are literally trying to lock us in our own homes. I warned you all the Cat Overlords are making their move. These are the signs of an uprising. Be alert. Be vigilant. Pray that they will soon make their demands known and we can find some way to placate them before it is too late.
