Meet The Doggie Moms And Their "Fur Children"

Leaving aside the problematic terminology “dog mommy,” the show is peculiar: it’s kind of Real Housewives-esque in that the featured women’s personalities (and dogs) are pitted against each other and they constantly attend events like dog birthday parties and fashion shoots and, yes, dog burlesque shows. But dogs aren’t everything, and the difficulty of finding a dog-doting dude makes up much of the show’s drama: as one mommy puts it, “Salli Sue does not replace my need for a man.” And a new boyfriend “needs human kids as well as fur children.”
