'Little Green Apples:' Another Song My Mother Loved to Sing to Me

Because everyone was so wonderful responding to me the last time I shared a song my mother loved singing to me, I thought I would continue with the same theme.

My mother loved this song. She sang it to me constantly, even in situations where I’m sure it completely embarrassed me because TEENAGER. But it never mattered to her how much I rolled my eyes or I ducked out of the room—she still sang it like she owned it; haters take all the seats to the motherfucking left. Of course now, umpteen billion years later, I love it but I can’t really hear it in any other voice than my mother’s thick, luscious, utterly perfect Austrian accent. Enjoy, folks!
