Convicted Steubenville Rapist Is Playing Football Again

Latest

One of the teenagers convicted in the controversial Steubenville, Ohio rape case, Ma’Lik Richmond, was released from his juvenile detention center in January. He is now reportedly back to playing football for Steubenville High School.

Local news station WTRF reports that that Richmond was “back on the roster at Steubenville Big Red as of Monday morning.”

Richmond is still a registered sex offender who will have to register as such every six months for the next 20 years. He appealed to have that status dropped, but that request was dismissed in June. That same month, Steubenville High reminded students who were planning to participate in a team sport that they had to complete and submit a physical with a doctor in order to play.
