Deranged Taylor Swift Fans Attack Tina Fey and Amy Poehler on Twitter
LatestThe Taylor Swift gang — of fans? — do not forgive and forget. To make that clear, they took to Twitter to eviscerate Golden Globe hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler for attacking their idol.
Last year, the former teen queen played victim to Tina Fey and Amy Poehler’s Globes opener when they warned that the singer better steer clear of Michael J. Fox’s son. Swift gracefully responded by quoting Katie Couric, of all people, to Vanity Fair and saying, “There’s a special place in hell for women who don’t support other women.” (Right. Because look at all of the careers Taylor has jumpstarted for people; honestly, where would Jennifer Lawrence, Lupita Nyong’o and Meryl Streep be without her? I mean, the girl is out here saving lives and that’s just the Golden Globes guest list.)
During last night’s Golden Globes, Fey made light of the bad blood after Poehler accepted her own Golden Globe for Best Actress in a TV Series, saying, “I just want to say congratulations again to my friend Amy Poehler, I love you and there’s a special place in hell for you.” Funny, right?
No!, tweeted the Taylor Gang furiously. Swift’s fans were pretty salty with the Golden Globe hosts who, by the way, actually are well-known for being kind and jump-starting the careers of actual fellow ladies.
And don’t forget about the real life Change.org petition some of the Taylor gang started to encourage the Hollywood Foreign Press to “fire Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.” Yes, it’s a real thing you can e-sign and yes, it is crazy. Good job, Taylor Gang.
