The obvious inspirations for Gaga’s Vanity Fair cover are Edie Sedgwick and—as Elizabeth Spiridakis points out—Father Time and Gandalf. I also remain convinced that she takes inspiration from Jem, specifically the Misfits and the oft-forgotten Stingers. [VanityFair]
