Things my pastors did:
1. Adopted a mentally ill teenager from foster care and moved his entire family to Alaska so that she could have access to better mental health services (they apparently had good state mental health care at the time).
2. Told us that hating gays was not part of Jesus’s agenda.
3. Taught us that the only difference between rich people and poor people was luck and that it was our responsibility to help others.
Things my pastors did not do:
1. Humiliate innocent teenage girls.
