Ruth Bader Ginsburg's Hobby Lobby Dissent Gets Its Own Song

Latest

It’s too bad that we live in a world where Samuel Alito’s bonkers religious beliefs can be used to disenfranchise all American women, but at least we have Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s blistering dissent against yesterday’s Hobby Lobby ruling. And if 35 pages is too much for you to read, this fellow above has turned it into a song.

Some observations if I may: 1) an IUD in this country apparently “is nearly equivalent” to a minimum wage worker’s monthly salary, but when I lived in France, you could get one for 10 euros under the country’s universal healthcare policy. Socialisme! 2) I so wish that Ginsburg had referred to her colleagues as “slut shaming geezers” but I’ll settle for this t-shirt.
