Star Jones Tells Oprah About Gastric Bypass; The View Responds

Yesterday, Star Jones discussed her gastric bypass on Oprah. She previously refused to even acknowledge the surgery when she was a co-host on The View. Babs and the panel chimed in on it this morning.

Because she wouldn’t admit to the surgery while she was on The View, it forced her colleagues to “cover” for her (aka “lie”), and that caused a lot of tension amongst the women. The ill feelings ultimately led to Jones’ contract with The View to not be renewed. This morning, the ladies on the panel discussed Jones’ interview on Oprah. And while Babs attempted to be diplomatic, Joy Behar summed up their feelings by saying, “Now we all know the truth. So good. Let her go and have a happy life.”
