Alexander Wang Leans Toward The Light

Latest

Alexander Wang recently told the Telegraph that with his Spring 2011 collection, he “wanted to explore a purity and honesty,” which may account for the emphasis on white fabrics and soft, flowing pieces.

The collection is mostly centered on white pieces that are somehow both structured and relaxed.

Agyness, no?

Whenever Wang did go for color, however, the results were gorgeous; the rusts, golds, and particularly the greens in the collection were lovely.

I love the green in this collection, though I think if I actually tried to wear this, I’d look like an extra from a Golden Girls film set in the year 2078.

This strikes me as both very 90s and very futuristic, all at once.

The streaks you see in the models’ hair were apparently made by using clay.
