Get This White Nationalist, Conspiracy Theorist Clown Out of Office

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) has no place in Congress. Days after a mass shooting that killed at least six outside of Chicago, Greene suggested the shooting was used to keep Republicans in line.

During a broadcast of her fledgling podcast/Facebook Live, mtg LIVE, on Tuesday, Greene tried to spin a conspiracy theory around the fact that there were mass shootings on July 4, but none in June, aka Pride Month. This is absolutely not true—cops literally stopped 31 men from starting a riot at an Idaho Pride celebration—but the woman being paid to represent Georgia has never cared about the truth.

Let’s walk through all the reasons this conspiracy-toting clown needs to be thrown out of office.

On Tuesday, Greene took to her podcast/Facebook Live to pontificate about how Republicans shouldn’t support gun control, even in the wake of yet another mass shooting.

“Here’s what I have to say. Two shootings on July 4th, one in a rich white neighborhood and the other at a fireworks display [in Orlando]. It’s [sic] almost sounds like it’s designed to persuade Republicans to go along with more gun control. I mean, after all, remember, we didn’t see that at all the pride parades in the month of June. But as soon as we hit MAGA month, as soon as we hit the month we’re all celebrating loving our country, we have shootings on July 4,” Greene said.

Then Greene appears to look down at a laptop (remembering she has talking points to hit perhaps?). “I mean, that’s...Oh you know,” she said, gesturing at what I truly can only guess is a script. “That would sound like a conspiracy theory, right? Of course. But what’s the definition of a right-wing conspiracy theory? Well by the way, it’s the news that’s just six months early.”

Only an absolutely deranged person would say a young man was hired? persuaded? to carry out a mass shooting to keep Republicans in line with voting for more gun control measures.

On the same live broadcast, Greene reached for blaming anything but guns. “For some people, [marijuana] causes psychosis, which could absolutely be the case. If you watch any of this guy’s music videos, he was suffering from psychosis,” Greene said.

Cannabis does not cause psychosis. Instead, part of my federal tax payment is going to pay for her salary to spout off nonsense! Cannabis is already an illegal on a federal level! What are you hoping to accomplish in Congress if cannabis is soooo bad it causes mass shootings??

And she had the audacity to try to deny it!!! It was apparently an accident!!! (It was not an accident.)

“I do not know Nick Fuentes, I’ve never heard him speak, I’ve never seen a video, I don’t know what his views are, so I’m not aligned with anything that may be controversial,” she said. “What I can tell you is I went to his event last night to address his very large following, because that is a young—it’s a very young following, and it’s a generation I’m extremely concerned about.”

In 2020, Politico found Facebook videos where Greene made a series of racists, Islamophobic and just derogatory remarks.

Greene’s bullshit goes back to before her time in Congress. In a post from January 2019, Greene liked a Facebook comment that read “a bullet to the head would be quicker” to get Nancy Pelosi out of office. She also liked posts about killing FBI agents were were “deep state” operatives. Unhinged!

In April 2018, she actually wrote the conspiracy posts, though.

Per CNN’s reporting:

In one Facebook post from April 2018, Greene wrote conspiratorially about the Iran Deal, one of former President Barack Obama’s signature foreign policy achievements. A commenter asked Greene, “Now do we get to hang them ?? Meaning H & O ???,” referring to Obama and Hillary Clinton.

Greene replied, “Stage is being set. Players are being put in place. We must be patient. This must be done perfectly or liberal judges would let them off.”

Excuse me?? It’s good she lost her committee assignments after these things came out, but she should have lost her seat too.

She tried to distance herself from Qanon and other far-right conspiracies when the House voted to strip her committee assignments, but if her recent comments have shown us, Greene was just trying to save her own skin.
