Here’s James Franco’s first-ever appearance in a music video: “Rising,” a collaboration between the actor/filmmaker/host/writer/teacher and artist/muse Kalup Linzy. Franco’s the blurry dude on the right.

Some of you may recognize Linzy from when Franco dramatically fell to his death on General Hospital, footage of which appears to be used in the video. So, is that what Franco meant when he said his time on the soap was part of some elaborate “concept art”? That said, dreamy effects align well with the dream-like song, so that’s something. The track will appear on the duo’s EP Turn It Up, due out July 12th.
