Last Week Tonight host John Oliver is upset with America for not finishing its food and then just throwing it all out—even if it’s still edible. We are all monsters.

On Sunday, Oliver broke down exactly how groceries go to waste regularly in this country and how the sad situation is perpetuated by useless “sell by” dates and poor tax credit laws that keep businesses from donating their discarded food.
