Once again, Sunday night’s Game of Thrones episode sent fans into a frenzy. But at least this time it was for something that people were actually thrilled about, as opposed to some embarrassing technological fail.
In case you don’t know what happened, stop reading right now because SPOILERS OBVIOUSLY. In last night’s episode, “The Lion and the Rose,” the world’s shittiest little shit aka King Joffrey The Shit was killed off, poisoned at his own wedding. Done in. Ended. Retired. Sent to the great wild yonder. OMG did this little fucker die in a glorious fashion.
Unlike the total Internet meltdown over the Red Wedding, (which killed off everyone you have ever loved ever, apparently), people were practically giddy over what transpired at the Purple Wedding. Probably because the show finally killed off someone everyone absolutely hates hates HATES, judging by the responses on Twitter. At least this time, people weren’t yelling at HBO so much.
It’s about damn time, said everyone everywhere:
There were a lot of people making jokes about Joffrey being “choked up.” A LOT.
