Noah and Sophia Are the Most Popular Names for Boys and Girls in 2013

The 2013 US Top Baby Names are out and the results include an upset on the boys’ side, while girls name exhibit little change.

Namely (heh), Noah has unseated Jacob to become the most popular boys’ name in our fair country. Jacob is now at number three, while Liam is at two. As for girls, everybody is still naming their daughters Sophia (#1) and Emma (#2). There’s no Brooklyn on the list, but Madison comes in at #9 for the ladies.

Below are the complete top 10 for each gender in order from 1 to 10:

Sophia, Emma, Olivia, Isabella, Ava, Mia, Emily, Abigail, Madison, Elizabeth

Noah, Liam, Jacob, Mason, William, Ethan, Michael, Alexander, Jayden, Daniel
