Sex, Guys & Audiotape: "just for u"

Latest

This walk down mix tape memory lane comes via “cheerful indie rocker” Sam, who presented the glimpse into his sensitive guy soul to Susan in winter 2001.

“This is a mix sent by a guy we’ll call Sam, who was my cheerful indie rocker friend sophomore year of college when I was an impressionable 19-year-old virgin. In winter 2001, after a lengthy flirtation, we drank half a bottle of vodka and fooled around, despite the fact that he had a girlfriend elsewhere, and I tortured myself over it for months. He occasionally would get himself drunk again and grope me and forget it the next morning. At some point he made me this mix, which was labeled “just for u” (though he later submitted it to a mixtape club).”
