The Glue That Ties Beyoncé's Album Together Is "Honesty"
Latest
Beyoncé released part five of her self-titled mini-documentary, detailing behind the scenes look at the making of her mega-hit, top secret album. This time, Yoncé opens up about feeling stifled as a young performer by fans’ expectations:
“I started out when I was nine, with the girls of Destiny’s Child; our first album came out when I was 15. I was a child. But now I’m in my 30’s, and those children that grew up listening to me have grown up, and I always felt like it was my responsibility to be aware of kids and their parents and all these generations and I felt like it stifled me. I felt like, in a sense, I could not express everything. I’ve done so many things in my life, in my career, that I feel like, at this point, I’ve earned the right to be me and to express any and every side of myself.”
If you’re still one of the non-believers who hasn’t grabbed this album to obsessively pore over like some people, you can still become ONE OF US on ye olde’ iTunes.
