It’s time to check your privacy settings, because everyone and their mother really is on Facebook. A new study found that 51% of Americans over the age of 12 are now on Facebook. That’s up from just 8% in 2008. Even those younger than 12 may be on — for now. The site’s chief privacy adviser recently said 20,000 people are kicked off every day for being underage.
