Why the Hell Is Demi Lovato’s Alleged Drug Dealer Telling TMZ So Much?

A guy named Brandon Johnson who claims to be Demi Lovato’s former drug dealer spoke to a TMZ reporter for over three minutes about his relationship with the singer, and went into detail about their history, as well as his memory of the night she suffered an overdose.

Johnson (who has been arrested in the past for gun possession, cocaine possession, and driving under the influence) speaks nervously in the video, and reveals the sorts of things that—if true—would almost certainly be reference if and when he is arrested for crimes related to Lovato’s overdose. He claims that he supplied the drugs that led to her eventual overdose, but pleads ignorance when asked whether he knew they were laced with Fentanyl.

“I disclosed to her that these are not pharmaceutical, they’re after-market pills, they’re much stronger,” he says, bafflingly. “It was unfortunate what happened… I’m not here to hurt anybody, I care for her very much.”

When describing his version of how the night played out, he adds:

“When I was with her, she was fine the whole time… She fell asleep, it happens all the time. We hang out, we do whatever we need to do, and she ends up passing out. It was already like, you know 7, 8 0’clock. She passed out, and I leave as I normally do.

The TMZ reporter asks, “So when you left she seemed fine? She was just sleeping?”

“She was sleeping,” Johnson responds. “I put her under the covers, tucked her in. Sleeping.”

When asked whether or not the incident has opened his eyes, Johnson once again tries to present himself as blameless, saying:

“It definitely opens my eyes to the dangers of these drugs. They’re fun, but in the wrong hands… they can be harmful. I hate to hurt anybody. I’m not trying to hurt my friend… I hope she comes through this better than she was.”

In a statement given to The Sun, Mel B has announced she is entering a rehab clinic to battle sex and alcohol addiction. She wrote:

“The past six months have been incredibly difficult for me. I’ve been working with a writer on my book, Brutally Honest, and it has been unbelievably traumatic reliving an emotionally abusive relationship and confronting so many massive issues in my life.
I am being very honest about drinking to numb my pain but that is just a way a lot of people mask what is really going on. Sometimes it is too hard to cope with all the emotions I feel. But the problem has never been about sex or alcohol — it is underneath all that.
I am fully aware I have been at a crisis point. No one knows myself better than I do – but I am dealing with it. I have made the decision to go into a proper therapy programme in the next few weeks, but it has to be in the UK because I am very, very British and I know that will work best for me.”

But I don’t want to know anything about Ashlee Simpson-Ross and Evan Ross’ love story.
