Anthony Cumia Pleads Guilty in Domestic Abuse Strangulation Case, Gets a Very Nice Deal

Latest

Racist shock jock Anthony Cumia, who assaulted his girlfriend in an attack, the aftermath of which she broadcast live on Periscope, pleaded guilty last week to third-degree assault and criminal obstruction of breathing. If Cumia completes rehab and and a batterers intervention program, the charges will be reduced and he’ll be left with no criminal record.

Cumia pleaded guilty to the two counts in Nassau County Court on Wednesday. Page Six reports that according to Cumia’s lawyer, if he successfully completes six months of outpatient rehab for alcoholism and the batterers’ program, his charges will be reduced to harassment, “which do not carry criminal penalties or a record.”

Cumia doesn’t face any firearms charges; the Periscope of the abuse brodcast by his then-girlfriend Dani Golightly shows him frantically searching their house for a handgun he’d apparently lost.

Always inspiring to see someone get exactly the justice they’ve paid for.
